The history of the house
Den Namen Kuća Stipo hat das Haus, da der ehemaligen Eigentümer Stipo ( Kurzform von Stephan) hieß und der neuen Besitzer auch Stephan heißt. Kuća bedeutet auf kroatisch Haus. Gekauft haben wir die Kuća im Jahr 2022, damals noch als leerstehendes und zurückgelassenes Haus. In den letzten Jahren haben wir zuerst das untere Apartment zum Oceanside und anschließend des obere zum Seaview Apartment umgebaut. Im Juni 2025 ist das letzte Apartment fertig. How the Kuća Stipo was born
The history of the house
The house got its name, Kuća Stipo, because its former owner was named Stipo (a short form of Stephan), and the new owner is also named Stephan. Kuća (pronounced Kutscha) means "house" in Croatian. We bought Kuća Stipo in 2022 when it was still an abandoned and vacant house. Over the past few years, we first renovated the lower apartment into the Oceanside Apartment and then transformed the upper one into the Seaview Apartment. In May 2025, the final apartment will be completed. Here are some photos of the renovation!
The House Before Renovation (2022)
Im Juni 2022 waren wir zum ersten Mal in Kroatien auf der Sonneninsel Čiovo. Vom Nachbargrundstück aus ist uns das seit Jahren leerstehende Haus, mit direktem Zugang zum Meer, sofort aufgefallen – es war Liebe auf den ersten Blick. Schon im Dezember 2022 haben wir die Schlüssel zu unserem (zukünftigen) Traumhaus entgegen genommen.
